Infinite Asteroid Belt Prototype
Recently I discovered the 3D skybox. It’s a bit of a misnomer because it’s not really a skybox. It is a technique that uses 2 cameras rendered on top of each other, with each camera moving at different speeds to produce the illusion that the objects in the rear camera view are massive and extremely far away.

Release notes for v0.2
It’s been a while since the last update. I’ve been waiting to release a new version and its finally ready! It has lots of new stuff, mostly little tweaks to make the game look more consistent and polished. No new features, I focused on refining a lot of the core elements of the game, but it looks like it has a coherent style now.

I’ve changed the look of the main menu to hopefully make it less boring.
Tutorial - Simple Spaceship AI
I’ve spent a while trying to think of the right way to create AI that looks fluid, makes gameplay fun, and is also challenging. Here I’ve figured at least some of that out. I’ve posted a video of 2 factions of ships battling to show how the AI looks in action. Some of the movement is a bit disjointed, and it obviously isn’t perfect, but I think the core ideas are sound.
Starship Siege Overview
Starship Siege is a 3rd-person space shooter Action/RPG for PC. Players will pilot a ship through space; travelling between planets and solar systems as they level up and upgrade their ship’s passive stats and weapon arsenal.
